1. How to Register
Parents once logged in register their player. If you do not have an account, create one. Then click to register a player.
2. What Division to Register to
- Based on player age on 05/01/26, parents can register their player for the division of their current age and typically one age group higher.
- We suggest unless your player is advanced, to register your player for the youngest age division offered.
- Parents own responsibility for the correct birthdate of their player in their account.
3. Age Divisions
- Age divisions are based on a player's age as of 05/01/26. Click here for limits by age division.
- Grade exceptions are allowed following the below as long as players requesting an exception are within 4 months of the cutoff.
A player that turns 7 prior to 05/01/26 but is currently in kindergarten may play in the 6YO division.
A player that turns 8 prior to 05/01/26 but is currently in 1st grade may play in the 7YO division.
A player that turns 9 prior to 05/01/26 but is currently in 2nd grade may play in the 8YO division.

4. Format Summary of the Divisions
- In rec baseball, all players must be in the batting order.
- See Rules of Play for the specific rules used by division.
A. For the 3/4YO division, this is a tee ball division. Score is NOT kept.
B. For the 5YO division, we would encourage all of our coaches to have players bat from a tee for games. This allows swing development. As the season progresses, a coach may attempt to pitch to each batter from a short distance (15' or less) and usually from one knee. Score is NOT kept.
C. For the 6YO age division, a coach will attempt to pitch to each batter from a short distance (15' or less) and usually from one knee. If the batter is unsuccessful at five pitches, a tee is used. Batters may immediately use a tee if desired or needed. Score is NOT kept.
D. For both 7YO and 8YO, this is coach pitch play where the pitching distance is 35' away from home plate. A coach pitches to players. Teams play with four outfielders. Teams are limited to 5 runs per inning.
E. For 9/10YO, this is kid pitch play with a mound at 46' feet. Teams are limited to 5 runs per inning.
F. For 11/12YO, this is kid pitch play with a mound at 50' feet. Runners are allowed to lead off. Teams are limited to 5 runs per inning.
G. For 13YO & Older, this is kid pitch play with a mound at 60' 6" feet. Runners are allowed to lead off. Teams are limited to 7 runs per inning.
5. Difference Between Travel (Open) Division vs Recreational
- Within our program, starting at 8YOs, players are either on a rec team (75% of our players are) or they are on a travel team.
- For 8YO, 9YO and 10YO open divisions where we play games, players only play rec or travel.
- At 11YO and 12YO, players can play both as we have no open division games in the spring.
- Most of our players will register for rec baseball.

9. Baseball Uniform Sizing
- The size shirt we provide to players is based on the size selected by the registering parent. We will provide that size or one size larger.
- If a parent selects the wrong size when registering and the shirt is already printed when the error is determined, the parent would be required to purchase a replacement shirt. Click here for help on pants sizing.
10. How Teams are Formed
- We try to meet as many requests as possible but ones we sometimes cannot meet are to avoid specific days of the week or if you requested a head coach that has more requests than roster spots.
- While our younger ages are limited in age differences, the older ages due to the number of players may be across multiple grades so that we can have a team.
11. Coach Requirements
(1) To be recognized as a coach (head coaches and assistant coaches), you have to create a volunteer record every season.
(2) We need each coach to submit to a background check every 3 years - click here
(3) And we need each coach to complete the below training:
Concussion training
CPR and AED training
Cardiac Arrest training
Heat Illness training
The above training is a requirement from the TN Safe Stars Act legislation and must be completed every 3 years.
(4) Safe keeping & management of your league provided equipment, and return at end of season
(5) Attend our coach meetings
Practices and games must have a registered coach (volunteer record, background check, concussion checklist) to be insured and approved.

How baseball teams are formed:
For all seasons, teams are formed based on parent requests and then team rosters are completed by the club where we attempt to group by neighborhood or school and then spread the “new to baseball” players across the teams. The club attempts to ensure each kid pitch team has a catcher and pitcher.
