SPRING 2024 Travel (Open Division) Baseball

- As the service provider of baseball for the City of Brentwood, 75% of our 12YO & Younger players must reside in the city of Brentwood, while 60% of our 13YO & Older players must reside in the city of Brentwood.
- 85% of our players must reside in Williamson County.
- As such, we reserve the right to decline any team registering that does not meet our resident requirements.
- We are required to pay the City of Brentwood Parks & Recreation Department a $25 fee per player that resides outside the city of Brentwood (to be shown as Non-Resident fee) and pay an additional $10 fee for players outside Williamson County (to be shown as Non-Williamson County Resident Fee).
- These fees are not included in the registration amount and are required to be paid by the participant registering (parent or head coach).

A. Age Divisions We Offer Options For
- Divisions are based on the player’s age as of May 1, 2024
- Divisions are offered for 8YO, 9YO, 10YO, 11YO and 12YO players
- Grade exceptions are allowed
- A 7YO team CANNOT play in the 8YO division

B. Team Capacity
- We will have a limited number of team spots for our spring season. Teams will have until 12/01/23 to register their team.

C. What to Register For
- We offer three options for the spring season:
(1) Games & Practices – Fee = $x
(2) Games Only – Fee = $x
(3) Practice Only – Fee = $x

(1) Option #1: ‘Games & Practices’
- This provides teams with scheduled league games (10 for 8YOs, 8 for 9YOs to 12YOs) plus a single elimination tournament.
- Scheduled provided practice space is as follows:
• From 02/17 to 03/17, we will schedule one weekly weekday and one weekly weekend slot per week.
• From 03/18 to 05/24, while league games are occurring, we will schedule one weekly slot per week.
• From 05/25 to 07/14, we will schedule one weekly weekday and one weekly weekend slot per week.
- Teams are provided insurance.
- Nonresident fees per player do apply.
- All coaches from a team are required to complete a volunteer record and to submit to a background check if a clear record is not on file.

(2) Option #2: 'Games Only'
- This provides teams with scheduled league games (10 for 8YOs, 8 for 9-12YOs) plus a single elimination tournament.
- Teams cannot use our parks for practice space to include walk ups if selecting this option.
- All coaches from a team are required to complete a volunteer record and to submit to a background check if a clear record is not on file.
- Teams are not provided with insurance and must provide a copy of their insurance.
- Nonresident fees per player do not apply.

(3) Option #3: 'Practices Only'
- This provides teams with practice space as follows:
• From 02/17 to 05/24, we will schedule a Saturday practice each week. On any weekend a Saturday slot is not available due to a tournament, we will provide an alternate day.
• From 05/25 to 07/14, the Saturday slot can change to another day if space is available.
- Teams are provided insurance.
- Nonresident fees per player apply.
- All coaches from a team are required to complete a volunteer record and to submit to a background check if a clear record is not on file.

D. Participation Notes
- No player other than those rostered are allowed to participate in practice or games through our program.
- Use of an unregistered player will result in the removal of the team from our league without a refund.
- Cost to add any player after Dec 1 is $xxx per player. There is no cost to replace a player.
- The limit of coaches for game participation is four (one head coach, three assistant coaches).

E. Refunds
- We do not provide any refunds to travel player registration.
- The parent will work with the head coach for any fee coverage (new player to replace them).
- Teams are not refunded for weather impacted games.
- It is the head coach's responsibility to make their team available for a makeup game during the regular season (all makeup games must occur prior to the end of season tournament).

F. How to Register your Team
1. Head coach to download roster form – click here.
2. Head coach to complete the blue sections of the roster form and email back in Excel format to [email protected].
3. Head coach to download volunteer form – click here – and have all coaches complete (print, sign/initial, scan, emailed back as a group).
4. BBC to complete all yellow sections of the form and return back to the head coach.
5. From step 4, head coach to make payment either by check or credit card.
6. Head coach to print the returned form from step 4 and have all your parents initial (pen to paper) the roster to accept the waivers.

G. How to Pay
- Check payable to Brentwood Ball Club.
- Payment by credit card. If by credit card, a processing fee for credit card use, which is ~3.4% of the amount due, will apply.

H. Requirement Notes for the Fall 2024 Registration
- Nonresident fees are collected every season - spring, then again in the fall.
- Parent initials for the spring season to the team roster are not required to be collected again as long as the player is on the same team in the fall (that they were for the spring).
- The completed volunteer form by coach will be good for all of 2024, if coaching on a travel team.
