BASEBALL Recreational Teams
Age division is determined based on birthdates of 05/01. The spring (2023) and summer (2023) use the current year (05/01/23) whereas the fall (2023) uses the next year (05/01/24).

How 4/5YO & 6YO baseball teams are formed:
For all seasons, teams are formed based on parent requests and then team rosters are completed by the club where we attempt to group players where possible by neighborhood or school.
·        If a head coach has more requests than roster spots allow, the head coach makes the decision for which players to keep.

How 7YO, 8YO, 9/10YO & 11/12YO baseball teams are formed:
Teams for the Spring League are formed with the following approach:
·        Coaches protect players that specifically requested them in the registration record that they want on their team. That is the starting point for rosters.
o   Note: There is no longer a protected count limit.

·        After protected players are set to a team, the remaining players are either assigned by the club or drafted by head coaches.

·        Teams within an age group are separated by divisions.
o   South division = Head coaches with 6 or less protected players
o   North division = Head coaches with more than 6 protected players

·        The regular season schedule is set based on the above divisions where not all teams play each other or if they do, they play the like teams more often.

·        For 7YO, 8YO and 9/10YO age divisions, by tournament time, the club may move teams across divisions to help improve like teams playing like teams.
Score is kept in the spring. The runs per inning limit is 5. Mercy rules will apply so the game may end early.

Teams for the Summer League are formed based on parent requests and then team rosters are completed by the club where we attempt to group players by neighborhood or school and then spread the “new to baseball” players across the teams. We attempt to ensure each kid pitch team has a catcher and has pitchers. Score is not kept in the summer.

Teams for the Fall League are formed based on parent requests and then team rosters are completed by the club where we attempt to group by neighborhood or school and then spreading the “new to baseball” players across the teams. We attempt to ensure each kid pitch team has a catcher and pitchers. To land on a head coach’s roster, the parent has to request the specific head coach in their registration record. Score is not kept in the fall. The runs per inning limit is 5. No mercy rules apply.

How 13/14YO & 15/16YO baseball teams are formed:
For spring & fall seasons, teams are formed based on parent requests and then team rosters are completed by the club where we attempt to ensure each teams have pitchers and catchers. Score is kept. The runs per inning limit is 7. Mercy rules will apply so the game may end early.

SOFTBALL Recreational Teams
Age division is determined based on birthdate of 09/01. The spring (2023) and summer (2023) use the previous year (09/01/22) whereas the fall uses the next year (09/01/23).

Travel Teams
Please note that travel teams are formed by head coaches through tryouts, etc. The club has no responsibility to the selection of placement of players to a team. Any playing time by a player is between head coach and parents. We will post in our News section any teams we are aware of that are having tryouts.
