Registration opened at 7PM on 11/10/22 with an early bird discount for the first 10 days that expired at 7PM on 11/20.
SPRING 2023 Recreational Baseball
The Brentwood Ball Club provides an opportunity for players up to 18 years old to have a place to play organized baseball in the city of Brentwood. As the service provider of baseball for the City of Brentwood, 75% of our 12YO & Younger players must reside in the city of Brentwood, while 60% of our 13YO & Older players must reside in the city of Brentwood. 85% of our players must reside in Williamson County.
We pay the City of Brentwood Parks & Recreation Department a $25 fee per player that resides outside the city of Brentwood (to be shown as Non-Resident fee) and pay an additional $10 fee for players outside Williamson County (to be shown as Non-Williamson County Resident Fee). These fees are paid during the registration process by parents if their player does not live in the city of Brentwood and/or in Williamson County.
The capacity of our program is not unlimited, and some divisions will reach a wait list prior if you don't register early in the process. Any player registering after we are full (to the Wait list) is not guaranteed a spot on a team.

What Division to Register to
Based on their age on 05/01/23, players will have the opportunity to register for the division of their current age and typically one age group higher. We suggest unless your player is advanced, to register your player for the youngest age division offered. Parent owns responsibility for the correct birthdate of their player in their account.
Note: If you want to register to 11/12YO but only see 9/10YO as an option, register to 9/10YO and then send us an email to brentwoodballclub.com requesting the transfer.
Age divisions are as follows:
In 4-5YO REC, players cannot turn 6 before May 1, 2023
In 6YO REC, players cannot turn 7 before May 1, 2023
In 7YO REC, players cannot turn 8 before May 1, 2023
In 8YO REC, players cannot turn 9 before May 1, 2023
In 9-10YO REC, players cannot turn 11 before May 1, 2023
In 11-12YO REC, players cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2023
In 13-14YO REC, players cannot turn 15 before May 1, 2023
In 15-16YO REC, players cannot turn 17 before May 1, 2023 (only offered if a coach requests)
In 17-18YO REC, players cannot turn 19 before May 1, 2023 (only offered if a coach requests)
Grade exceptions will be considered on a player-by-player basis.
Format of the Divisions
A. For both 4/5YO and 6YO age divisions, a coach will attempt to pitch to each batter from a short distance (15' or less) and usually from one knee. If the batter is unsuccessful at five pitches, a tee is used. Batters may immediately use a tee if desired or needed.
B. For both 7YO and 8YO, this is coach pitch play where the pitching distance is 35' away from home plate. A coach pitches to players. Teams play with four outfielders.
C. For 9/10YO, this is kid pitch play with a mound at 46' feet.
D. For 11/12YO, this is kid pitch play with a mound at 50' feet. Runners are allowed to lead off.
E. For 13YO & Older, this is kid pitch play with a mound at 60' 6" feet. Runners are allowed to lead off.

Within our program, players are either on a rec team (75% of our players are) or they are on a travel team. Players do not play both divisions within our spring season so that we can have distinct divisions that place like players against each other. In the summer season and the fall season, we do not separate as such.
Registration fees per player (excludes non-resident fees):

The above does not include the $15 early bird savings that lasts 10 days from the registration opening on 11/10.
Rec Baseball Registration fees include
(1) Shirt, cap, pants, belt for each player (we provide socks for 8YO & Younger)
(2) Shirt, cap for head coach and for up to two assistant coaches (must have volunteer record complete)
(3) Practice space for the regular season
(4) Game day equipment - game balls and catcher's gear
(5) Umpire fees for all league games
(6) League insurance
(7) Trophies for end of season tournament champions and runner-up's 7YO & older
(8) Participant trophies for 4/5YOs and 6YOs
We do not provide practice balls.
We do not provide catcher's gear for 13YO & Older play.
Unique notable fee you will see
The credit card "PROCESSING FEE" of 3.4% is what the credit card company charges to make the charge.
The $3 service fee (fee charged by webhost to process a registration) is paid by the person registering. This is paid per transaction although multiple players can be registered on one order saving just one service fee.
Late Fees
A late registration fee of $10 will start on 01/10/23. After 01/17/23, it goes to $15.
Refunds
Any cancellation of a player's registration for any reason will result in a refund of the amount paid less the credit processing fee and less a one-time $20 handling fee. No refunds will be processed after 01/10/23.
Note: Should we have a re-occurrence of a COVID type shut down, the amount of the refund will be amount paid less the $3 service fee (that is the web host fee), less the credit processing fee, less any late fee and will be prorated from when the stoppage occurs. If uniforms are already printed, we will ensure each player receives their uniform as that amount will not be refunded.
Baseball Uniform Sizing
The size shirt we provide to players is based on the size selecting by the registering parent. We will provide that size or one size larger. If a parent selects the wrong size when registering and the shirt is already printed when the error is determined, the parent would be required to purchase a replacement shirt.

Coach Requirements
(1) To be recognized as a coach (head coaches and assistant coaches), you must create a volunteer record every season. The Volunteer record includes the Concussion Checklist and the Code of Conduct Agreement.

(3) Safe keeping & management of your league provided equipment, and return at end of season
(4) Complete player exit ratings (7YO & Older) as requested
(5) Attend our coach meetings

When Practices Occur
Prior to games starting, all teams will be scheduled for two practice slots per week. Once games start, 7YO & Older teams will keep one of their two weekly slots. The 6YO & Younger will no longer have a practice slot although head coaches can request space periodically when needed.
When Games?
A. Each rec division will play a weekday game and one Saturday game per week. This assumes we have an even number of teams. While not limited to a specific day, the typical weekdays are as follows:
Most weekday games for 4/5/6YOs will occur on Mondays but could occur on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Weekday game times are 5:20PM, 5:30PM or 6:30PM.
7YOs, 8YOs will primarily play on Tuesdays or Thursdays (but could play on Mondays). Weekday game times are 5:30PM or 6:50PM.
9/10YOs, 11/12YOs on Mondays (but could play any other weekday). Weekday game times are 5:30PM or 7:20PM.
We do anticipate some games to occur on the turf on Fridays and that will vary by age. We do not plan to use the turf fields for our 4/5YOs and 6YOs.
And weather will impact us so makeup games could occur on any day.
B. All home games will occur at Civitan Park or Crockett Park or Granny White Park.
Trophies
Our 4/5YO and 6YO teams will receive participation trophies. Our 7YO - 14YO teams will compete for tournament trophies for champion and runner up.
