Dear parents,
After a few days of back to baseball, we wanted to share and
emphasize where we need your help particularly as we approach opening day for
many teams this Saturday.
Social distancing is a mandate we have from the city and county.
It is part of the requirements from the governor for non-contact sports like
baseball to occur. We need everyone to increase their responsibility to do
this. Many are doing a great job in support, but we still have many ignoring this.
We want to have this season occur and continue, but we need your help.
We have start and stop times for games and practices in the
schedule. The reason for the start and stop is that as much as we want players
to arrive on time to get warmed up, we do not want them arriving too early
particularly if they are not the first game or practice of the day. As a
guideline, arriving no more than 20 minutes before game time and 10 minutes
before practice time is ideal. And once the games and practices are over, we
need everyone to depart.
There will be times in future seasons to bring extra family and
friends. But we need to minimize attendance where possible.
Before you leave for the park each time, please check everyone’s
temperature. And make sure there is a No answer to all of these questions:
- Have you had a temperature in the last 48 hours?
- Any exposure to anyone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days?
- Any loss of taste or smell?
- Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
- Have you experienced any vomiting or diarrhea in the last 48-hours?
We will continue to ask the above
questions at our parks so getting everyone familiar with them makes the
process work as quick as possible.
We are all excited about the season and we sincerely appreciate
all the kind emails of support. Let’s all do our part to stay safe so thank you
in advance for your support.
