To all parents and coaches for basketball:
Williamson County Park & Rec (WCPR) comments we received at 12:18PM today: "After further discussions with WCS, the decision has been made to cancel all Youth Basketball games that were scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31. There are many schools that the accessibility to the gym is unknown due to ice, debris, and other factors that this ice storm has brought this week. At this time, the goal is to resume all Youth Basketball practices on Monday, Feb. 2 and proceed with our originally scheduled games for Saturday, Feb. 7. From there, we plan to extend the season out of a week with a rescheduled game and tournament play. I will provide more details on this early next week."
Our club comments: We assume the above cancels the four games scheduled at the Indoor Sports Complex this Sunday but are waiting for that confirmation. The games on February 7 were not to count in the standings but now they will. That leaves one additional game that won't count in the standings and the tournament. Our club will review how to accomplish that and will provide an update as soon as possible. Our goal is not to still be playing basketball on 02/21 when our softball/baseball season starts with practices, camps and pitching clinics.
