Brentwood Ball Club Game Cancellation Policy for Baseball Games

1) The following lists our general guidelines for cancellation of games due to weather:
(a) Civitan Park: The decision is made by club personnel by 4:00PM on weekdays, by 7:00AM on Saturdays and by 11:00AM on Sundays. In case of cancellation, the club with tweet (@bwoodcivitan) as the first notice). Second, the field status link on the website will be updated. By default, it will always say OPEN. Third, for a cancellation, the club will send an email blast.
(b) Granny White Park: The decision is made by Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department. Updates to their 615-373-8310 hotline are provided weekdays by 3:30PM and Saturday mornings by 7:30AM. Our notifications follow the order in section (a).
(c) Crockett Park: The decision is made by Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department. Updates to their 615-373-7752 hotline are provided weekdays by 3:30PM and Saturday mornings by 7:30AM. Our notifications follow the order in section (a).

We will not send emails to notify fields are open, only when they are closed.

Below is how we will handle the scoring of games where the game is stopped by weather, depending on when the game is stopped:

1.  If the game is stopped during the 1st inning, the game will be rescheduled and restarted in its entirety.


2.  If the game is stopped during the 2nd inning, the game will restart with the same conditions (i.e. who is on base, outs) and be completed based on the remaining time.


3.  If the game is stopped during the 3rd inning, one of the following applies:

(a) if one team is winning by 10 or more runs, the game will be determined as complete.

(b) if no team is winning by 10 or more runs, the game will be rescheduled and picked up from when stopped. The game will restart with the same conditions (i.e. who is on base, outs) and be completed based on the remaining time.

(c) if the home team is winning after the top of the 3rd by more than 7 runs, the game will be determined as complete.


4.  If the game is stopped during the 4th inning or later, the game will be determined as complete, based on the score for the last completed inning.

We will reschedule games with 48-hour notice.
