Hi parents, here are some updates for the rec divisions of baseball:

On 02/03, a notice (excluding 13-18YO) was sent to our Head Coaches to identify desired practice times for the season. Most have responded so far. A practice schedule is planned to go to the head coaches on or around 02/14.

On 02/04, a notice was sent to Head Coaches for 7-12YO baseball to identify their protected player lists. Some have responded. This list has to be locked down before the drafts start. We will be working with head coaches to complete the list soon.

We are still short a head coach for 9/10YO baseball, which may delay that draft.

On 02/12, we plan to send preliminary rosters to our 4/5YO and 6YO baseball head coaches. Pending feedback over the next 48-hours of doing that, we will lock down the rosters soon after.

The player draft for the 7YO Head Coaches is scheduled for 02/15 at 6:00PM at Civitan Park. The player draft for 8YO Head Coaches occurs later that night at 7:30PM at Civitan Park.

The player draft for 9/10YO Head Coaches is scheduled for 02/16 at 6:00PM at Civitan Park.The 11/12YO Head Coaches will draft virtually and not in person. We would expect that draft to be complete by 02/18.

On 02/19, we will start working on the game schedule and will send notice to our Head Coaches to identify any game conflict dates.

Crockett Park will open on 02/20. That date is the expected first day our recreation teams will start practicing at Civitan Park or Crockett Park.

The weather will not cooperate for a Skills Assessment, so we are working on other activities to gather skill ratings for our drafts.
